From Idea to IPO.

This is the first course in the sequence and serves as an overview of the technology commercialization lifecycle.  Students are exposed to various methods of translating scientific discovery into commercialized product/service along with the associated issues of funding, intellectual property management, opportunity vetting and basic value proposition development.

Technology-based Business Planning.

This course focuses on creating full business plans for start-up companies.  Students develop ideas in to business models leading to complete business plans and learn to pitch those plans.

Leading Innovation.

This course focuses on implementing a start-up technology-based business using the Lean Startup philosophy.  It also looks at how start-up firms adapt to change and maintain and innovation culture.

Directed Study in Innovation.

This course is customized based upon the needs and interests of individual students.
